Dr Ruth Wilson

With over 30 years in the education field and a PhD, Dr Ruth Wilson has a long trail of involvement in early childhood environmental education. Currently, she writes books, consults, and is the research library curator for the Children & Nature Network. 

Linlin Mao

Dr Kathryn Murray

Dr Kathryn Murray is the Founder of Future Strong Education Consultancy based in Australia. She has over 40 years of experience, is a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator and coach who works nationally and internationally. Kathryn follows her passion for supporting adults so that the children they parent or teach will have the best possible start to a life that is Future Strong!

As the research and practice base of the Future Schools project of the DfE China, Avenue Green Natural Way Kindergarten is a bilingual kindergarten that inherits Chinese culture and has an international perspective. They are committed to becoming "the leader of nature/aesthetics education for children in China". 

Tricia Wellings

Tricia is an experienced early years expert, known within the industry for the support and training she has provided over the last 22 years from a wide range of perspectives. She is highly engaged as one of the PVI representatives on the Early Years Consultative Forum. She is also Chair of the West Midlands Ofsted Big Conversation Steering Group, which organises the Big Conversation meetings with Ofsted and is a member of PVI support groups in Birmingham, Warwickshire & Worcestershire. Most recently she has been on the Emergency Early Years Covid-19 Task groups within these local authorities. 

Yu-zhi ZHANG - Langfang First Kindergarten

Established in 1972, Langfang First Kindergarten covers an area of 4,800 square meters and has 14 classes and 65 teaching and administrative staff. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "nourishing, moistening silently, infecting children with love and enlightening children with wisdom", the kindergarten strives to create a "natural, free and independent" teaching environment to promote children's happy development and healthy growth!

Manu Maunganidze

Manu is passionate about nature-based education and growing bridges between diverse groups. One part of this is helping environmental organisations find ways in which they can look at diversity or conversely working with different communities. The other half is creative education for youth, often in natural spaces, and always with connection (to nature, materials, each other) at the core. He is also an experienced researcher with a keen eye for narrative and detail.

Beijing Chaoxin Chenyang Kindergarten (Shaoyaoju Garden)

Beijing Chaoxin Chenyang Kindergarten (Shaoyaoju Garden) is a first class kindergarten in Beijing, covering an area of 5,500 square meters. One year ago, the kindergarten began to try to carry out "life-oriented nature education", hoping that children could feel the world around them by fully mobilizing their senses in an autonomous, self-disciplined and free environment.

Greg Borrtill

Known for some of the most thought-provoking publications of modern times 'Can I Go and Play Now? - Rethinking Early Years' & 'School and the Magic of Children'. Greg shares nothing but a truly magical outlook on the importance of play, and explains the concept of teaching from the soul. 

Hua-fang Chen

- Weicun Central Kindergarten, Xinbei District, Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province

This kindergarten is located at the bank of the Yangtze River. It is a high-quality kindergarten leading some forward-looking project. Centring on the ethos of "flowers blossoming into the sun", they are trying their best to explore nature-based education and strives to pursue the vision of "living together and growing naturally" for teachers and children.

Dr Patricia Born is the Program Director for Hamline’s Master of Arts degree in Environmental Education.  Earlier than that, she was the Executive Director of the National Center for STEM Elementary Education at another university. Before she entered higher education, she was involved in environmental and science education in a number of Pre-K and elementary classrooms, as well as nonformal contexts such as museums, parks, nature centres, and wildlife refuges. She has written three books for educators on centring the environment, nature and STEM in early education settings. 

Qin Chen - Wuhan Tianyou Kindergarten

Founded in 2012, Tianyou Preschool Education Institution is a professional preschool education institution engaged in early childhood education, research, management and training of preschool teachers. In the past 10 years, with the philosophy of freedom, love, integration, positive and respect, the kindergarten has found an unusual way of development. There are now seven kindergartens in Wuhan and Qianjiang.

Dr Sandra Duncan

Dr Sandra Duncan is an international consultant, author of six books focused on the environmental design of early childhood classrooms, designer of two furniture collections called Sense of Place and Sense of Place for Wee Ones, and adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University. Sandra is eternally grateful for the many opportunities she has experienced to transform hundreds of early childhood environments into extraordinary inspiring places for children to be. . . and, become their very best.   

Yang Huang - Angel Education Institution

Shenzhen Angel Education Institution was founded in 2001. As of June 2021, the group has 4 kindergartens, 1 child growth centre, 4 training centers and 1 nature school for 0-12 years old. Focusing on "nature, experience, spirituality and development", they aim to cultivate unique children with sound personality, healthy body and happy growth through establishing a harmonious relationship between children and the surrounding ecosystem.

Dr Vasavvi Acharjya

Early Childhood Educationist, Edupreneur, Social Activist, Multi Awardee, Trainer, Mentor, Author. She is the Founder MD of Inner I Foundation Pvt Ltd an education company and Heads the Tender Petals chain of preschools. She is the Founder Chairperson of the Early Child Development Forum (ECDF) and DNA Foundation for Children and Women Welfare (NGO). She is also the CEO and Editor of EDCLAN a quarterly education journal, author of the book THE FIRST 5 YEARS- Demystifying the Crucial Period of Parenting. Previously, she also worked as a trainer at TISS Guwahati.
